Membership Terms & Conditions

  1. Definitions
    For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions:

    1. Child – A person under the age of 16.
    2. Junior: A player under the age of 16.
    3. Adult – A person aged 16 or over.
    4. Student – An adult aged 16-25 in full-time education with valid student ID.
    5. Household – Individuals permanently residing at the same residential address.
    6. Membership – An active subscription granting access to member benefits.
    7. Membership Year – A 12-month period from the membership start date.
    8. Open Play – Organised social play sessions operated by Dinks Pickleball with rotating court use.
    9. Peak / Off-Peak – Time bands as defined on the Dinks Pickleball website.
  2. Membership Eligibility & General Terms
    1. Memberships are personal and non-transferable unless explicitly stated.
    2. Membership fees are payable in advance, either monthly or annually.
    3. Memberships are subject to acceptance by Dinks Pickleball.
    4. Members must comply with all venue rules and codes of conduct.
    5. Providing false or misleading information may result in termination without refund.
    6. Membership discounts apply only to activities, sessions, and events
      organised and operated by Dinks Pickleball. Discounts do not apply to events, competitions, or bookings organised and ticketed by third-party providers, even where such events are hosted at a Dinks Pickleball venue.

    Membership Types

    Member:

    1. Available to adults aged 16+.

    Student:

    1. Available to adults aged 16–25 in full-time education.
    2. Student Members are classified as adults for booking and usage purposes.

    Family:

    1. Covers one household of up to four (4) named members.
    2. All members must reside at the same residential address.
    3. Additional members may be added at the following rates:
      1. Additional Adult (16+): £100 per year
      2. Additional Child (under 16): £50 per year

    Founder Members:

    1. Limited pre‑opening membership with protected benefits, available only on Annual Upfront Membership paid in full at the time of joining.
    2. Founders’ benefits apply while the membership remains active and renewed.
    3. Founders’ benefits are non-transferable.
  3. Payment Formats and Eligibility
    1. Annual Upfront Memberships are paid in full at the start of the Membership Year and are non‑refundable once started, except where required by law.
    2. Annual Monthly Contracts are paid in equal monthly instalments over a minimum 12‑month term. Members remain liable for all remaining payments if they cancel early, except where required by law.
    3. Rolling Monthly Memberships are paid monthly and may be cancelled at any time in accordance with the cancellation policy. Pricing and benefits may differ from annual memberships.
    4. Founder Membership is not available on Annual Monthly Contracts or Rolling Monthly Memberships and must be paid as an Annual Upfront Membership only.
  4. Cancellation Policy
    1. Rolling Monthly Memberships may be cancelled at any time by providing notice before the next billing date. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
    2. Annual Monthly Contracts may be cancelled only after completion of the 12‑month minimum term, unless required by law. Cancellation during the minimum term does not remove the obligation to pay remaining instalments.
    3. Annual Upfront Memberships may not be cancelled or refunded once started, except where required by law.
    4. Cancellations must be submitted via the member portal or in writing to Dinks Pickleball.
  5. Booking & Court Usage
    1. Booking windows vary by membership type and are published on the website.
    2. Courts may not be resold, transferred, or commercially exploited.
    3. Dinks Pickleball may restrict or cancel bookings to ensure fair access.
    4. Persistent abuse may result in suspension or termination.
  6. Age Transitions
    1. No mid-term changes apply when a child turns 16.
    2. Reclassification occurs at renewal.
    3. Individuals aged 16+ are treated as adults.
    4. Student Members must move to an alternative membership when no longer eligible.
  7. Founders-Specific Benefits and Open Play Passes
    1. Founders Members receive lifetime Founders status while their membership remains continuously active.
    2. Founders base membership pricing is protected from future increases while continuously renewed.
    3. Where applicable, additional adult and child charges under Founders Family Membership are fixed at the published Founders rates while membership remains active.

    Open Play Passes (Founders Bonus – Year 1 Only):

    1. Founders Individual Members receive one (1) free Open Play pass a month, in their first Membership Year. They also receive one (1) free Open Play Guest pass a month, in their first Membership Year.
    2. Founders Family Members receive two (2) free Open Play passes a month, their first Membership Year. They also receive two (2) free Open Play Guest passes a month, in their first Membership Year
    3. Passes are non-transferable and may only be used by the Founding Member or registered family members.
    4. Passes have no cash value and may not be exchanged or refunded.
    5. Passes must be used within the first Membership Year and do not roll over.
    6. Use of passes is subject to session availability and capacity limits.
    7. Dinks Pickleball may limit the number of Founders passes used per Open Play session to ensure fair access.
  8. Payments, Renewals & Cancellations
    1. Monthly memberships require notice prior to the next billing cycle to cancel.
    2. Annual memberships are non-refundable once commenced, except where required by law.
    3. Failure to pay fees may result in suspension or termination of access.
    4. Founders benefits lapse if a membership is cancelled and later rejoined.
  9. Suspension, Termination & Right to Refuse
    1. Dinks Pickleball reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate membership for reasonable cause.
    2. No refund will be provided where termination is due to member breach.
  10. Force Majeure & Operational Changes
    Dinks Pickleball shall not be liable for failure to provide services due to events beyond its reasonable control, including maintenance, repairs, government restrictions, or events outside reasonable control.
  11. Amendments
    Dinks Pickleball reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions with reasonable notice.
  12. Governing Law
    These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
